I have so many wonderful memories of the summers on 19th st. Wendell and the Taylors, Tom Redmond Wendells cousins, Dave and Dennis Long , Matt Copley, Peggy and Tracy-Riunite Lambrusco Janine ? I met Howard and Steve through Wendell, his brother Geoff, I believe I met his grandmother once who yelled at me because I tended to raise my voice at older people and she told me "don't yell i'm old i'm not deaf". Memories have been flodding into my head, I have been able to talk to people ,to friends who were a HUGE part of my life back then and it sucks that it is this that makes it happen.
Ah...Bogie, Those were the days! When I look back at my life, I find myself always remembering my summers spent on 19th Street with all our friends. Sometimes I wished 19th Street was like Neverland (as in PeterPan) where we would never have to grow up. I remember spending morning, noon, evening and nights on the beach with not a care in world except for how we were going to get some beer and where we were going to party (the beach, Wendell's house for round of quarters, Matt, Peggy and Tracy's on 14th for a round of "Whale's Tale", at Jeannine and Mark Corville's on 18th and Barnegat, or driving the boulevard. I have to say those times were so special because, as I look back, it is a time when my happiness and laughter lasted the longest. I've had many happy times and share truly hearty laughs since then, but none that lasted 10 weeks straight as those summers did. And lets not forget some of the friends that shared time with us on 19th Street, Dominique, Stacy, Ray Fusco, Chip and Plip, the LeSages (Rita, Jim and Mike) and the Roaches (Kathleen and Diane), (Diane told me Wendell was her first boyfriend), Hank (How can we forget Hank), Joe and Dave Bowen, Linda and Sandy to name a few...
You got that right!!! Hey Steve, Great to hear from you. Needless to say, I am very sorry to hear of Wendell's passing and I feel for you as I remember you were very close to Wendell.
