- Remembering Wendell
- Wendell and I were roommates at West Chester during our Willow Court days. We were unlikely pals in some ways as he introduced me to "The Cure" and I introduced him to "James Taylor". We chased long miles on our road bikes together. Wendell is still the only guy I've road with who chose Miyata! But then again, Wendell always marched to his own beat and for that, myself and all our old clan from WC love him. I feel fortunate to have shared a fun night with Wendell, Craig and Chael in December '04 at the Standard Hotel in Hollywood. We surprised him and it is a memory I will cherish forever. It would be the last time we all were together. But man, did we turn back the clock. No titles, no facades. Just old friends boozing, laughing and sharing a terrific moment in time. cant imagine your call with the family- cant come close to imagining what they have gone through. Looks like we were both up last night looking for answers- as I am sure we will for some time. Cant think of anythign I would rather do than sit with the WC crew and talk it through- we need to figure something out...
